WARM WELCOME TO ALEX New BID manager checks in

It’s all change at Northallerton BID as we wish a warm welcome to new manager Alex Shennib.

Alex, who has a first-class honours degree in Business Management, has spent several years working in the hospitality and consultancy sectors and is keen to establish a strong partnership with BID businesses.

He’ll be visiting as many businesses as possible in the next few weeks to say hello and discover how the BID can continue to support Northallerton’s key commercial interests.

A keen squash player at county level, Alex is also the proud owner of a border collie-husky cross puppy – so he’s particularly keen to continue promoting our dog-friendly events.

“I’m thrilled to join the BID and looking forward to working with all our members,” he says. “I’m excited to see so many new businesses opening in Northallerton and I’m keen to ensure the BID continues to play a key role in encouraging the town’s prosperity.”

Stepping down after just over three years in charge are Graham Bell and Helen Crannage, who spearheaded the BID’s successful re-election with a

substantial majority last November. They will be popping in to say goodbye to as many businesses as possible before signing off at the end of this month.

The BID Board of Directors would like to thank Graham and Helen for all their hard work in expanding and developing the BID’s profile and services during a particularly challenging time that included an unprecedented global pandemic.
