The Standard is a family orientated pub, kids, dogs, husbands and even wives welcome.
A pub that is all the more welcoming for the quality of our regulars, as our pub wouldn’t be the same without them. Even if you’re not a regular, when you come you will be made to feel like one!

Award winning pub food served Tuesday to Saturday 12.00-2.00, and Thursday to Saturday 6.00-8.00.
Traditional Sunday Roast served every Sunday (surprisingly) from 12.00-2.00. Booking is recommended for Saturday and Sunday lunchtime.
Lunchtime midweek pre-ordering is recommended if you are on your lunch hour as everything is made fresh and when busy may take some time.

If its games you’re after, then The Standard is the place to come – we run three darts teams, one mens Winter league (Monday nights), one ladies Winter league (Wednesday night) and a mens Summer league(Monday night). We also have a Domino team playing during the Winter, on a Thursday evening. Our Golf Society is very well supported but please, feel free to come along on the 2nd Monday of every month and play as a guest. Notices in the pub telling you where we are playing next are put up three to four weeks prior to our game. During the Winter months we also have our Sunday football team.

Parties of up to 100 can be catered for.
Large beer garden, sun trap, BBQ’s are arranged regularly during the summer.
Outside catering available with delivery service included.

And also the only pub, possibly in the world with an ex RAF Jet Provost in the beer garden!
